Africa Energy Futures

CURRENT INITIATIVE

Overview

The African Energy Futures Initiative is funding world-class interdisciplinary hubs for energy transition research and analysis through an African-led competitive selection process.

Mapping viable global pathways to a net zero emissions energy system cannot happen without African leadership, analysis, and data.

By strengthening local expertise, giving African analysts exceptional institutional homes and opportunities, and facilitating collaboration across countries and disciplines, this initiative will ensure that African researchers lead African energy and climate planning, and better inform global transition pathways.
