Welcome to the first edition of the Bellagio Bulletin, where you can find stories about what happened because of Bellagio, experience a bit of the magic, and understand the impact that the Center’s distinguished alumni are having in the world. In this first edition, you’ll find the origin story of a collaboration between a New York City Museum Director and a Puerto Rican author and poet. We celebrate works recently published by residency alumni, ranging from a Booker Prize finalist that tells the story of obstacles faced by women in Zimbabwe, to a book shortlisted for the Wainwright Prize tackling controversial techno-solutions to the climate crisis. Finally, we dive into a current conversation on internet poverty, why it matters more than ever, and how it can be measured.
