Meet the CNN Academy Climate Storytellers

The CNN Academy Climate Storytelling program, sponsored by The Rockefeller Foundation, offered participants worldwide a unique opportunity over two weeks to receive intensive training, network with peers, and empower themselves with skills to highlight the global climate challenge.

With 2023 expected to be the hottest recorded year, the program emphasized the impact on the Global South, addressing the disproportionate burden they bear despite contributing less to climate change. This diverse group of storytellers in Abu Dhabi underwent comprehensive training, mentored by CNN journalists, to create impactful short documentaries on the climate crisis.
