As a community that works in and cares deeply about philanthropy, we all have incredible stories of impact, innovation, and inspiration to tell.
We want to hear yours.
This month, The Rockefeller Foundation is celebrating what philanthropy has accomplished around the world. As part of our celebration, we are teaming up with acclaimed artist Phil Hansen to turn our collective experience of philanthropy into a powerful, unifying work of art: The Art of Philanthropy.
Watch this video to learn about Phil Hansen’s work—then be a part of his latest project by sharing your own story of philanthropy.
Take a moment and consider: Who are your philanthropic heroes? Was there a particular moment that made you proud to be a member of the philanthropic community? And how can philanthropy change the world in the next 100 years?
We’ll offer a number of prompts like these to get you started. After you submit your thoughts, you can read what others are saying around the world. Beginning on October 14, you can watch a live stream of Phil Hansen turning our words into art. Then on October 30, we’ll reveal the finished product during the live stream of our Celebration of American Philanthropy event in Washington, D.C.
This is a unique moment in art and philanthropy, and I hope you’ll share your experiences. I’m looking forward to seeing what we create together.
