Carol Becker is Dean of Columbia University School of the Arts. She is the author of numerous articles and several books including: The Subversive Imagination: Artists, Society, and Social Responsibility (edited edition); and Surpassing the Spectacle: Global Transformations and the Changing Politics of Art. She works closely with the World Economic Forum’s platform on Art and Culture and participated in their Bellagio Center residency in 2000.
