In this session originally held on October 20, 2021, Hattaway Communications presented data from their fifth national survey in a series commissioned by The Rockefeller Foundation to understand Americans’ attitudes toward various urgent issues throughout the pandemic. This survey was conducted the morning after President Biden announced his Covid-19 Action Plan. It revealed significant shifts in attitudes about the pandemic and important findings for how to communicate with Americans about mandates and other public health guidance.
Topics include:
- Changes since May 2021 on attitudes towards testing and vaccines.
- A deep dive into attitudes and actions around school-based preventive activities.
- Results of three sets of tested messages around the need for mandates, how to address pandemic fatigue, and the rationale for changing public health guidance.
