The good news on vaccines continues. With the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s approval of the single-shot vaccine from Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen Biotech vaccine for emergency use, the world has another tool—one that is both effective and accessible—against Covid-19. One tragic year into this pandemic, we have the advances in testing, tracing and vaccines to protect people and our communities. For example, with regular testing, masking and vaccines for teachers and staff, we know we can get our schools back open and our children back on track. As we welcome this good news, we need to recommit ourselves to ensuring equitable distribution and use of all our tools so everyone, everywhere can benefit.
