Project: “Our Bibles, Ourselves: A Biblical Case for Gender Equality”
Blessing Omakwu is a women’s equality evangelist, social impact strategist, lawyer and writer working at the intersection of faith and feminism. Omakwu came to Bellagio in November 2022 to begin a book project titled “Our Bibles, Ourselves: The Biblical Case for Gender Equality.” Omakwu is head of the Goalkeepers initiative at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation—a catalyst for action on the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, using powerful stories, events, awards, data, and partnerships to energize a diverse group of leaders.
