Danielle (“Dani”) Geanacopoulos serves as Managing Director for Government Relations on the Foundation’s Communications, Policy and Advocacy team, where she drives and coordinates the Foundation’s work with policymakers, key government stakeholders, and multilateral organizations to support policy innovations and advocacy efforts to deepen our programmatic impact. She joined The Rockefeller Foundation in January 2017, and has held prior roles as a Director in the President’s Office, where she managed external engagements and key leadership priorities, and led the newly created Strategic Partnerships team and special projects portfolio.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Dani served as Special Assistant to Dr. Shah in his post USAID work at Latitude Capital, an emerging markets private equity fund based in Washington, D.C. She has a decade of experience in government, public policy and campaigns, having previously served in the United States Senate for Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), and in UBS Americas’ Office of Public Policy.
Dani received her BA from the University of Virginia, and lives in New York City with her husband.
