Project: “The Atlas of Finance”
Dariusz Wojcik is a widely-published, award-winning economic geographer, specializing in financial geography. He is the Co-Founder and Chair of the Global Network on Financial Geography and is the founding Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Finance and Space. Dariusz came to Bellagio in April 2023 to complete the Atlas of Finance, a comprehensive visualization of the world of finance on all continents, through a unique combination of data science, digital humanities, economics, geography, and art. The Atlas is designed to initiate a lasting change in the way finance is seen and studied. Dariusz is currently a Professor of Financial Geography at the National University of Singapore and an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Oxford.
