Project: “The Cave (a limited narrated series)”
Feras Fayyad, two-time Oscar-nominated, and Emmy-winning director, producer, and writer, is widely recognized for his documentaries, Last Men in Aleppo and The Cave. He is also the first Syrian director to be nominated for an Academy Award and for the Directors Guild of America. Known for their raw depiction of war crimes in Syria, his documentaries have served as evidence in international bodies like the United Nations. Fayyad and Dr. Amani Ballour, a protagonist in The Cave, have addressed the Security Council and the OPCW. These presentations have contributed to sanctions against the Syrian regime. Feras visited Bellagio in July 2023 to turn his documentary, The Cave, into a limited TV series.
