Bellagio Residency: April 2023
Project: “Blank Noise. I Never Ask For It. Meet To Sleep”
Jasmeen Patheja is an award-winning public service artist, whose practice involves designing interventions for collective action to end violence against women, girls and all people. She visited Bellagio in April 2023 to work on a project to address victim-blaming, explore ways to address memories of sexual assault and abuse, and design interventions to create a safe space for women to live free from fear and defenseless. Jasmeen is the founder and facilitator of Blank Noise, a growing community of people taking agency to end sexual and gender-based violence. In 2019, she received the prestigious Visible Award for socially engaged art practice and was listed by the BBC as of 12 artists changing the world.
