Project: “Transformational systems change: building a decarbonized, climate resilient and more equitable health care sector”
Josh Karliner is an expert in international organizing, writing, public speaking, and advocacy who is working to build a zero emissions, climate resilient, and more equitable health care sector. He visited Bellagio in July 2023 to identify and write up lessons learned and next steps in transforming the health sector so that its trajectory is aligned with the ambition of the Paris Agreement. Josh is currently the Director of Global Partnerships for the international NGO Health Care Without Harm (HCWH) and has led its recent work with WHO and the UK COP Presidency to secure commitments from over 60 governments for sustainable, low-carbon, climate resilient health care.
