Molara Wood is an award-winning writer, journalist, critic, editor and speechwriter. Described as ‘one of the eminent voices in the Arts in Nigeria,’ and with credits in film, literature, and visual art, she served as Arts & Culture Editor of Next newspaper, and was for many years an Arts columnist for The Guardian. Molara came to Bellagio in April 2023 to begin writing a magical realist novel about four generations of Yoruba women living in colonial and post-independence Nigeria. She continues to write about books and the arts for publications, including the BBC and The Irish Times, and hosts the ART for the People Podcast.
