Project: “Climate Community Arts Network (CCAN) for inclusive data governance”
Revathi Kollegala is an ethical technologist, researcher, and global strategist who is passionate about making tech solutions accessible and impactful. She currently co-leads the creation of a toolkit for inclusive data governance at the CIFAR Solution Network on data communities for inclusion. Revathi visited Bellagio in March 2023 to develop a pilot for community-initiated storytelling as a vehicle for onboarding and awareness of governance for AI systems. This pilot is focused particularly on how participation in governance of climate change AI systems impacts communities’ influence on global climate action. Revathi previously served as the Executive Director of Regen Foundation, working towards the inclusion of underrepresented stakeholders for a community-owned and governed global ecological data commons.
