Ron Chen is a Managing Director in the Investments Office of The Rockefeller Foundation. His responsibilities include the traditional marketables portfolio, which consists of developed equity, emerging markets, fixed income, and a portable alpha program. In addition, Ron manages the Foundation’s defined benefit plan and 401(k) retirement plan.
Before joining the Foundation in 2002, Ron served as a special investment officer at the New York State Common Retirement Fund for 12 years. He received a B.A. in Economics from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University in 1985 and an M.B.A. in Finance from Syracuse University in 1987. He is a CFA charter holder and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.
