Project: “How to Eat on a Hotter Planet so Everyone can Eat”
Somini Sengupta is a distinguished journalist and is currently the international climate correspondent for The New York Times. She has reported from over 50 countries, including 10 conflict zones, winning multiple awards for her work, including the George Polk award for international reporting. Her first book, The End of Karma: Hope and Fury Among India’s Young, was published by W.W. Norton in March, 2016. Somini visited Bellagio in July 2023 to research her next book about how climate change is upending the global food system and to explore a second project about how climate change is altering the landscape of America’s largest glaciated national park, Mount Rainier.
