Project: “Food First – an art based research project”
Mali Wu is a Taiwanese conceptual artist and a pioneer in socially-engaged art practice that seeks to use artistic methodologies to address major social and environmental challenges. She has been exhibited internationally, featured at the Venice Biennale, and in many other exhibitions. Wu came to Bellagio in September 2022 to work on a project using food as a medium to explore the migration stories of residents in Taiwan, mainly coming from Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand. This is an ongoing project, which was presented at the Singapore Biennial 2022.
