The Role of Philanthropy in Building Great Institutions

Supporting institutions around the world has been at the heart of The Rockefeller Foundation’s mission since its founding 110 years ago. Moderated by Dr. Rajiv Shah, president of The Rockefeller Foundation, this panel, entitled “From Vision to Action: Role of Philanthropy in Building Great Institutions,” is designed to highlight the major role philanthropy has played in launching and sustaining major institutions around the world. The panel will explore how public trust can be maintained and collaboration can be improved when philanthropies and institutions meet. Each institution represents different areas where the Foundation has made “big bets” over the years, including in the areas of public health, education, and food security.

This session was broadcasted on Wednesday, May 24th at 9:00am ET / 8:00am CT live across The Rockefeller Foundation’s social media pages TwitterFacebookLinkedIn and YouTube.
